Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SAP IS-U Functional Architect with strong Utilities domain expertise to support and deliver end-to-end SAP IS-U solutions. The role involves leading functional analysis, configuration, and solution design across core SAP IS-U modules, ensuring alignment with business processes, regulatory requirements, and SAP best practices within complex utility environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Fit-Gap analysis and functional workshops with Business and IT stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into functional designs, system configuration, and end-to-end process flows in SAP IS-U.
• Guide stakeholders on IS-U solution design, standardization, and best-practice adoption.
• Identify, design, and implement functional solutions to address gaps within SAP IS-U.
• Collaborate closely with ABAP, integration, testing, and architecture teams.
• Support system configuration, testing cycles, defect resolution, and production support.
• Prepare and maintain high-quality Functional Design Documents (FDDs) and Solution Design documentation.
• Analyze defects and functional issues, assess business impact, and propose viable resolution options.
• Ensure delivered solutions meet agreed quality, performance, and compliance standards.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong hands-on expertise in at least two SAP IS-U modules, including:
  • Billing & Invoicing
  • Device Management (Metering)
  • Finance (FICA)
• Extensive experience across end-to-end IS-U implementation or transformation lifecycles.
• Deep hands-on experience with IS-U Device Management, including:
  • Meter configuration, registers, and device categories
  • Meter reading integration and exception handling
  • Device lifecycle processes
• Strong experience in IS-U Billing configuration, including:
  • Billing schemas, rates, operands, and variants
  • Billing execution, simulation, and reconciliation
• Hands-on experience with dynamic pricing and time-of-use pricing models.
• Strong understanding of Australian Energy Market operations, including:
  • AEMO processes and market transactions
  • B2B messaging, Change Requests (CRs), and CATs
  • Connection point management and market interactions
• Support and validate market interaction scenarios across device, billing, and settlement processes.
