Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP ABAP Consultant with IS-U experience to support and enhance utility business processes. The role involves end-to-end ABAP development, solution design, and technical support across SAP IS-U modules, ensuring scalable, high-performance, and modification-free solutions aligned with SAP best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support SAP ABAP solutions within SAP IS-U, covering end-to-end utility processes such as:
  • Device Management (DM)
  • Meter Reading & Meter-to-Cash
  • Billing & Invoicing
  • FICA (Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable)
• Develop custom enhancements using OO ABAP, user exits, BAdIs, and implicit/explicit enhancements.
• Provide technical design and solution architecture for IS-U enhancements and integrations.
• Work extensively with IS-U data models including installations, premises, devices, billing documents, and FICA postings.
• Develop and support IS-U specific frameworks such as:
  • BPEM (Business Process Exception Management)
  • Events and function modules
  • IDocs, RFCs, and Web Services
• Support batch processing and high-volume jobs, including billing runs, dunning, invoicing, and payment processing.
• Design, configure, and troubleshoot SAP Workflow integrated with IS-U events.
• Collaborate with functional teams, integration teams, and business stakeholders.
• Provide production support, performance optimization, and issue resolution.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development within SAP IS-U.
• Deep expertise in ABAP Objects (OO ABAP) and SAP enhancement frameworks.
• Solid understanding of IS-U billing schema, rates, and configuration dependencies.
• Strong experience with SAP Workflow (Classic Workflow).
• Proven experience with IS-U integrations using IDocs, RFCs, and Web Services.
• Experience supporting large-volume data processing and mass activities.
• Exposure to SAP BTP or hybrid SAP landscapes is a plus.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
