Job Summary The Application Support Technician provides technical support for enterprise business applications across multiple manufacturing environments. This role focuses on system implementation, end-user training, hardware and software support, and collaboration with technology teams to ensure consistent and reliable application performance.
What You’ll Do Serve as a subject matter expert for an enterprise software suite supporting manufacturing operations Implement, train, and maintain application systems for end users, including operators, supervisors, and management Ensure consistent deployment of corporate-standard software and associated hardware Travel for project work and system installations (approximately 50–75% domestically and internationally) Install and configure hardware and software, including barcode scanners and related systems Provide hands-on training and ongoing support to end users Collaborate with technology teams to troubleshoot issues and perform system upgrades at remote sites Build strong working relationships with plant management and quality teams to support manufacturing process tracking Demonstrate professionalism, strong communication, and troubleshooting skills in both software and hardware environments
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field or an Associate’s degree with 2+ years of relevant technical support experience Experience providing end-user training, preferably in a manufacturing environment Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows operating systems, and basic PC hardware/software troubleshooting Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and across organizational levels Willingness and ability to travel 50–75% domestically and internationally Basic knowledge of ERP systems preferred Experience with handheld barcode scanners a plus Secondary language skills a plus
