Job Description
We are looking for a Technical Program Manager (L5) who is a first-line program leader responsible for driving execution across one to two engineering teams, ensuring predictable delivery, cross-functional alignment, and measurable business outcomes. With 5-8 years of experience, this role blends structured program execution with hands-on coordination, risk management, and delivery governance.
You will manage program plans, track dependencies, maintain execution health, run Agile ceremonies, and partner closely with engineering, product, design/UX, data, architecture, and QA teams. This role is accountable for transparent reporting, issue resolution, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring programs meet scope, quality, timeline, and compliance expectations.
Core Responsibilities:
Run end-to-end program execution across one to two engineering teams, ensuring predictable delivery of commitments.
Maintain detailed program plans, sequencing, timelines, and dependency maps across engineering, product, and partner teams.
Lead Agile ceremonies including planning, daily standups, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives.
Identify, track, and mitigate program risks, blockers, and cross-team impacts; maintain RAID visibility.
Partner with Product Management to ensure requirements clarity, grooming quality, and alignment around increments and milestones.
Collaborate with Engineering Managers and Tech Leads to sequence work, assess complexity, and resolve architectural or resource constraints.
Produce clear and consistent reporting: delivery health dashboards, KPIs, burn charts, forecasts, and executive summaries.
Facilitate communication and alignment among stakeholders, ensuring clarity across teams and minimizing strategy-execution gaps.
Support estimation, capacity planning, and quarterly/PI-style planning for multi-team initiatives.
Contribute to continuous improvement in delivery practices, operational excellence, and organizational cadence.
Qualifications
Required qualifications:
5-8 years of experience in technical program management, software delivery, or related roles.
Demonstrated ability to manage programs across 1-2 engineering teams with predictable execution.
Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban), backlog management, and cross-team delivery coordination.
Experience identifying, escalating, and resolving delivery risks, dependencies, and cross-functional issues.
Proficiency with structured communication, executive reporting, and stakeholder management.
Familiarity with technical concepts including APIs, cloud services, CI/CD workflows, and modern software architectures.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
Advanced English level (written and spoken) to communicate effectively across global teams.
Preferred experience:
Experience in enterprise software, consulting engagements, or regulated industries such as Life Sciences, healthcare, medical devices, or finance.
Exposure to AI/ML programs, data-driven engineering, cloud modernization, or distributed systems.
