The Technical Infrastructure Program Manager(TIPM) manages the IT Infrastructure scope of a complex suite of projects and is responsible for the delivery of initiatives across business teams and operations groups within Amazon Fulfillment IT from strategy, conceptual design feasibility, requirements, budget, completed design, implementation, testing, and deployment.As a TIPM, along with technical knowledge, we expect our leaders to interact with customers, partners and suppliers to understand our business goals and priorities, and to execute rapidly, delivering high-quality results. The candidate will be comfortable in managing remote project delivery teams, and possess the ability to facilitate technical sessions to troubleshoot issues and remove barriers to project success. The TIPM will be able to build cross-functional matrix-based teams, establish trust with a variety of stakeholders across multiple time zones, manage capital budgets, eliminate unnecessary activity, design solutions, remove blockers, and find creative ways to accelerate project delivery.
In this role, you will lead launch programs in JP and work with Regional IT Leadership, Fulfillment Operations, Amazon Logistics, and other customers in developing comprehensive plans to execute the work. The candidate will be comfortable in managing remote project delivery teams, and possess the ability to facilitate technical sessions to troubleshoot issues and remove barriers to project success. The TIPM will be able to build cross-functional matrix-based teams, establish trust with a variety of stakeholders across multiple time zones, manage capital budgets, eliminate unnecessary activity, design solutions, remove blockers, and find creative ways to accelerate project delivery.
The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator both written and verbal, in project management of technical initiatives.
Strong judgement, negotiation skills, ability to influence without authority, analytical talent and leadership are characteristics of a successful TIPM. They will also have the capacity to thrive and succeed in a fast-paced environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. In addition to those with infrastructure delivery experience, candidates possessing a proven success in delivery in architecture/design, mechanical/electrical engineering, software/network engineering or IT/telecom infrastructure deployments, will have a distinct advantage.
The TIPM will be familiar with a variety of project management tools, methodologies and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle. They'll be able to exhibit demonstrated experience in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk management, reporting and metric development/tracking. Other requirements include experience with MS Office, SPM, Service Now and MS Project.

Key job responsibilities
• \tDefine program mission, vision, and objectives; manage program roadmaps and contribute to annual planning narratives for your organization
• \tLead complex infrastructure builds across multiple teams within a VP organization, identifying technical design issues and providing actionable feedback to engineering teams
• \tInfluence resource allocation and team priorities through data-driven analysis and stakeholder alignment
• \tStreamline and eliminate excess process while driving organizational efficiencies across the program portfolio
• \tMentor program managers, provide technical guidance, and contribute to team development through promotion assessments and knowledge sharing
• \tTravel within your assigned region up to 30-40% of the time to support program delivery
• \tProvide project management and direction to ensure the project team has a clear understanding of timelines, risks, escalation path and roles/responsibilities they will undertake within the project team.
A day in the life
Your day spans both strategic and tactical work. You might begin by reviewing program health metrics and preparing a narrative update for senior leadership, then shift to a working session with engineering leads to resolve a complex technical dependency blocking a multi-site deployment. Later, you could be mentoring a junior program manager on how to structure a difficult stakeholder conversation, or contributing to your organization's annual planning process. Your customers include Fulfillment operations leaders, engineering teams, and the broader VP organization that depends on your programs to deliver on time and at scale. You are the person others look to when programs get complex - and you thrive in that environment.

The Technical Infrastructure Program Management team drives the delivery of technology infrastructure that powers Amazon's Fulfillment network across North America. We are a collaborative, geographically distributed team of program managers who bring both technical depth and operational rigor to every program we own. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of program management or technical project management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 4+ years of professional experience
- Experience building consensus and leading resolution of contentious issues across cross-functional teams
- Experience managing complex cross-functional infrastructure builds with considerable organizational impact
- Experience using AI-powered tools to support program management activities such as documentation, reporting, or workflow automation
- Ability to travel within your assigned region up to 30-40% of the time
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification
- Experience managing programs that span multiple organizations or geographies
- Experience influencing resource allocation and organizational priorities through data-driven contributions
- Experience defining infrastructure build requirements for new complex technical products
- Experience streamlining processes and driving organizational efficiencies at scale
- Experience mentoring program managers and contributing to team development
