Overview

Job Title: Software Applications Tester

Location: Remote, SC

Responsibilities

The current directorate programs include Collaboration at Sea (CAS), Combined Enterprise Regional Information Exchange System-Maritime (CENTRIXS-M), Secret Releasable (SECREL) Coalition and Allied communications, and Naval Tool for Interoperability and Risk Assessment (NTIRA). These programs include ensuring seamless integration with other naval and joint systems, adherence to security and compliance standards, meeting performance and availability metrics, and supporting scalability and future enhancements of these programs.

• Develop and execute software tests to identify software problems and their causes.
• Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.
• Document software and application defects in Jira software or other agreed upon issue tracking software and report defects to the software developer.
• May participate in software design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, operational characteristics, and product designs.
• Work with the DevSecOps Engineer and other team members to implement and provide input into automated test.

Qualifications

• An Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret Clearance.
• Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.
• Three (3) years of experience in developing and executing test plans for software systems to include unit, integration, regression, smoke, and operations-based testing and developing robust data analysis sets to fulfill the appropriate test rigor for specific testing.
• Experience in Java and familiarity in other programming languages such as C#, SQL, XML, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience in automated testing software such as Selenium.
• Experience with Atlassian Jira or similar issue and project tracking software.
• Experience with Atlassian Confluence or similar knowledge management software.
• IAT III Certification.

Education:

• A minimum High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
