Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Business Analyst in our Marketing and Business Development department to serve as functional lead on projects to deploy, enhance, integrate and configure our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform. This role reports to the Senior Manager of CRM and works closely with external vendors, project consultants and the firm’s Information Services (IS) department to ensure alignment between business needs and technology solution(s).
The CRM Business Analyst will play a key role in migration from the current CRM system to a new, cloud-based client intelligence platform by analyzing business requirements, outlining functional specifications, overseeing user acceptance testing, and driving end-user adoption of the platform. This individual will also help guide the CRM team in achieving a smooth transition of their operational workflows, recommending business process improvements and configuring the system to both optimize operational efficiency and deliver robust data intelligence capabilities to end-users and stakeholders. Post-launch, the Business Analyst will administer the new platform, manage system enhancements, coordinate issue resolution with vendors and/or IS, work on future system integration projects and maintain support documentation and training guides.
The ideal candidate combines deep analytical skills with strong technical aptitude and is a driven and proactive champion for advancing the firm’s digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead functional workstreams for the deployment of a new client intelligence platform. Detail tasks and drive timelines across these workstreams, which include data assessment and migration, functional design and system configuration, data management and governance, business intelligence reporting, and user testing, training and support.
- Work with the implementation partner, platform vendor and IS team to tailor the solution to meet business needs and strategic objectives, ensuring a stable and scalable solution that supports future system enhancements and integrations.
- Actively participate in project meetings and workshops, tracking and reporting on the functional workstreams and escalating any issues that may impact scope/timeline.
- Assist the CRM team in re-engineering business process workflows for operational tasks, which include client data entry, marketing campaigns and events, employee on/off boarding, data quality and maintenance, and relationship intelligence reporting.
- Partner with professionals across the Marketing and Business Development department to optimize the platform’s capabilities to support practice group, industry, key client and marketing operations initiatives.
- Partner with professionals across IS and Information Governance (IG) to ensure the client intelligence platform complies with global data privacy and protection laws, adheres to data quality and governance standards and aligns with the firm’s overall data strategy.
- Champion the business benefits of the platform and drive user adoption through day-to-day support and engagement.
Required Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in translating technical concepts for business audiences and articulating business needs for technical teams.
- Deep analytical capabilities driven by an innate curiosity to dissect complex business problems and functional processes.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills to breakdown complex and/or ambiguous concepts into clear, actionable components and to troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively.
- Proactive self-starter with ability to thrive in a face-paced, team-oriented environment while maintaining independent ownership of workstreams.
- Comfortable guiding cross-functional teams and influencing project outcomes through collaboration and consensus-building.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Information Technology or equivalent.
- 7+ years of business analysis experience with familiarity in BA frameworks and methodologies (e.g., BABOK)
- 5+ years of CRM experience, with preference given to DealCloud and/or InterAction.
- Experience with adjacent marketing technology platforms such as email marketing, ERM and expertise management systems. Vuture, Introhive and/or Foundation experience a plus.
- Law firm or professional services background preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in MIS, Business Analytics, Digital Marketing, Engineering or equivalent.
- 7+ years of business analysis domain expertise
- 5+ years of CRM expertise, with preference given to DealCloud and/or InterAction.
- Experience with business analysis frameworks and methodologies (e.g., BABOK)
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBi) a plus.
- Experience with adjacent marketing technology platforms such as email marketing, ERM and expertise management systems. Vuture, Introhive and/or Foundation experience a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Law firm or professional services background.
- Certification in business analysis (e.g., IIBA).
